The apartment is the entire first floor of a big, old house. There is a great porch and an area behind the house, kind of a concrete garden, where we BBQ all summer long. The place is huge and completely furnished and very comfortable. There is a large living room (music room, really), about 16'x18', a long hallway that connects the eat-in kitchen, with the hallway continuing to the bathroom and the bedrooms.
There are two of us presently living here: a bass player (m) and a drummer (doesn't practice at home) (m) and when the house is full there are four of us in total, plus Hattie and Luke, the watch-cats. The place is big enough and well divided so that you can actually feel that you have the place to yourself most of the time. The house is cigarette-friendly.
We are 6 blocks from the B/Q trains, buses run past the end of the block about every 5 minutes and parking is not too bad -- never more than a block away, even if you come home late. We are a short walk from Brooklyn College. The neighborhood is very safe, quiet and neighborly.
I supply free wired/wireless Internet and we split the electricity.
The rooms are 9 x12 and at the side of the house, so nice and quiet. Fully furnished with a newer queen sized bed. I'm good and finding furniture if anything is needed. One room is on the back corner of the house with two windows and ceiling fan, $900, and is well lit all day, and the other is on the side of the house with one window, $850, and is a littler darker in the morning -- good for late sleepers.
We are cigarette and cat friendly.
NOTE: The living room pictures aren't accurate as the room is now a music room with grand piano, etc. I put them up anyhow, so that you'd get an idea of the space.
Here's a video walk-though that shows one of the rooms. The other room is on the corner of the house with two windows and a ceiling fan, but the same size and similar layout: http
WiFI and utilities included unless you run AC.
This room for rent is listed at $850, while rooms for rent...
