Our home is a former bed and breakfast originally constructed in 1907. We are proud to be the fourth owners of this special home. The home boasts five bedrooms, plus a sleeping porch, and four full bathrooms (three showers and one claw-footed tub). It is a great family home in every sense.
The home is located in the countryside near the quaint town of Cashmere (approximately 15 minutes to Leavenworth and 10 minutes to Wenatchee) on a former apple orchard. Today, the grounds hold fruit trees, a vegetable garden and an expansive manicured lawn. The property is fully-fenced and is an incredible place for children to play.
A large, private, in-ground swimming pool (seasonal) makes this the perfect place to relax.
The home is located just a few minutes from the Wenatchee River, rock climbing in the Peshastin Pinnacles, as well as the legendary mountain bike trails of Mission Creek and Devil's Gulch. There is great jogging and cycling on quiet country roads out the front door. Beautiful public tennis courts are located less than a half mile away. Skiing is available at both Mission Ridge (35 minutes) and Steven's Pass (45 minutes).
The Bavarian village of Leavenworth is just a short drive away, as is the small city of Wenatchee. Cashmere is a quiet town, and a great place to relax. It is also the home of the world famous Aplets & Cotlets candy factory and the fascinating Pioneer Village Museum.
The house has hosted families and travelers in comfort for more than a century. The master bedroom is located on the main floor with French doors opening to the pool. The second floor holds four additional bedrooms, and three more bathrooms.
The kitchen was recently remodeled with stainless steel appliances and beautiful concrete counters.
The home is heated with both central heat and classic radiators. There is a wood-burning stove in the kitchen as well as a large brick fire place in the living room. There is also central air-conditioning and ceiling fans in every bedroom.
Clothes washer and dryer are available for use and located in the basement.
There is a large dining room table, which seats at least ten. The dining room also holds an upright piano.
In full disclosure, this home is not new. It is well over 100 years old and with those years come many marks of character. The home is exceeding comfortable, but not luxurious. It is clean and well-kept but not flawless. Above all else, it is our home, and we are happy to share it with you.
Owner will maintain pool and lawn. Tenant responsible for water, garbage, electricity, phone, and internet. Pets negotiable.
