Great large room available in a three bedroom house in Petworth/Park View. About the house: it's two levels and a large finished basement. It has a spacious living room, dining room, kitchen with a dishwasher, two full bathrooms (one on the second floor where the rooms are and one in the basement), washer/dryer and front and backyard including a plant bed (for all you with a green thumb) and a nice porch for summer relaxing.
This a month to month lease with a leasing company. Rent is $1050 not including any utilities. Utilities are ~$50/month, depending on the time of year.
The room is quite spacious. It can fit a bed, desk, book shelf, dresser, table and still have a good amount of space. It has a nice nook perfect for an chair for reading. The room's closet is also large; with two rails for hanging clothes and large shelves for storage. It has large windows which provides lots of natural sunlight.
There is off street parking (Zone 1), which you can always find a spot either very close to the house or within a block away. There is one off street parking spot available.
This is one of two large rooms available in the house so if you are looking for two rooms in a house this could be a good fit for you.
It's about a 10 minute walk the the Georgia Ave/Petworth Metro Station. There are other bus lines that pass by the area.
Room is available May 1.
Here's a blurb about the current roommate:
I am very active- running, biking, yoga, lifting, high intensity intervals... I love to cook and spend the majority of my waking hours in the kitchen or in my basement gym! :) I'm pretty quiet, early to bed, early to rise and simple living; rarely watching TV, more often listening to NPR. I like to host small pot lucks with friends maybe once a month or so but other than that, I enjoy a quiet, clean and eco-friendly (I compost!) home. Looking for like-minded roommates to share a quirky but cozy home
