Being right on the lagoon, it's peaceful. Los Prados Park is very close by. A few blocks down the road at the Marina shopping center there's a supermarket, several restaurants, two banks, and a bus stop. If you like biking, there is a convenient path that starts just down the street and goes to Redwood Shores, including Oracle. There's also bike parking on the side of the building, with an industrial bike rack. APPLIANCES The cook top has gas burners. There's also a wall oven (electric), a dishwasher and a fridge. There is a gas furnace with ducts to each room, so it's easy to stay warm. The unit has a dedicated gas water heater. Your private washer / dryer is in the unit. BACKYARD There is a large (5'x13') garden bed in the shared garden behind the unit that's available to you for growing vegetables. The space gets great sun through much of the day. The backyard has unfenced access to the lagoon. Whenever people come by and see the backyard, there is a "wow." From the street it looks like a regular residential area, but once you step through the French doors and into the backyard, you'll see the garden beds and the water view. DOCK The neighboring 4-plex has a wonderful dock which you are welcome to use. There is a canoe and kayaks and covered seating. It's a great place to relax. PARKING A reserved, uncovered driveway parking space is available for $50/month. There is also lots of free unmetered street parking in front of the building. Since there are no street cleaning days here, and single family housing across the street, street parking is easy. STORAGE A 30 square foot, 8'+ high walk-in storage space with large shelves is available for your use at $50 per month. If you have a small number of boxes to store, we can put those away for you at no charge. UTILITIES * Water / sewer / garbage is INCLUDED. This saves you $100-$150 per month vs. many places. * You pay for PG&E. Dedicated natural gas water heater, ducted furnace system, and well-insulated walls help keep the bills down. * The unit is wired for cable TV / cable internet. COMMUNITY This is a friendly place to live. The backyard spans two properties and is shared by 8 units total. There are opportunities to garden individual garden beds, shared garden beds, and landscaping. If you're new to gardening, several experienced gardeners live here and are happy to help. There is also a community hot tub which is available for use. OTHER STUFF * No smoking in unit or anywhere on property. * Sorry, no pets allowed.
