Schools: Detroit Amenities: Porch Year Built: 1950 Lot Size: 50x133 Location: 1 blk W off Five Points, 2 blks S of 8 Mile Pets: TBD; Extra Fee DETAILED DESCRIPTION This 3/1 Ranch is located in the peaceful Five Points neighborhood of northwestern Detroit. It's a quite walkable home, just three blocks from the nearest pharmacy and five from the nearest grocery, and also just a couple blocks from 8 Mile and the same distance from Telegraph Road -- so it's quite 'drivable,' too. The kitchen is eclectic and cheery, with earth-tone vinyl flooring, a white countertop popping against industrial brick, and sky-blue cabinets. A wide window above the sink lets the natural light pour in. The plugins for the fridge and oven (not included) are side by side at a right angle to the main countertop. Tile is the name of the game in the bathroom: tile floors, tile wainscoting, and a tile tub surround make the bathroom all but waterproof. The vanity cupboard and medicine cabinet give you room to keep your toiletries accessible but out of sight. The tub has a short handrail installed for safety, too. The living room stretches along almost the entirety of one side of the house, with sunny yellow walls and rich amber-stained hardwood floors bringing the 'spring sunshine' spirit to any season. The dining room is basically an extension of the living room that's been decked in vinyl flooring to keep food spills from being an issue. Also, the back door opens onto the dining room. The three bedrooms are very similar, with laminate flooring, swinging-door closets, and emergency-exit-worthy windows in addition to all four walls -- the ceilings are even thrown in at no additional cost to you! Downstairs, the basement is divided into a few areas, including one with a wet bar, one for the utility sink and W/D hookups, one for the furnace and water heater, and one open space that you can put to any use you think of. Outside, the front yard is flat and grassy with a few decorative shrubs bringing the curb-appeal game. The back yard is less flat, but still grassy, and has a pair of large trees that provide cover from sun and rain. Rent is $800 per month and the security deposit required is 1 to 1 1/2 months depending on qualifications. Viewing is by appointment only and you can move in immediately.
