Very big bedroom (16x11') available in an old 1-story, 3-bedroom house. The available bedroom is #2 on the floorplan, shown in 3 photos. It has big north-facing windows, and gets great light. It will be unfurnished, and is available April 1. May 1 move-in is also fine. There is a good-sized living room and kitchen, central heating, a washer/dryer in the garage, a nicely styled bathroom w/ clawfoot, and all the usual amenities (+ disposal & dishwasher). The garage is suitable for storage of bikes/whatever, but not a car. The neighborhood is somewhat Bernal, somewhat Mission. The house is a Craftsman, which means great old hardwood floors, numerous groovy details, and lots of wood generally. And a comfy front stoop, on a small, atmospheric alley looking up Bernal Hill. Note: I cannot access HotPads/Zillow pre-filled applications, so please read through to the bottom, and respond with some basic info about yourself. Your roommates would be 2 guys. Me: graphic designer, ex-film/music maker, leaseholder, 50s. I've lived here 11+ years. The other: motorcycle mechanic, 30s. We seem pretty cool and fun to me. We like all the usual city activities: getting good eats around the hood, going to see music, movies, art, etc., getting a few beers at local dives. We are looking for someone who we mesh well with, intends to stay long-term, and who we might enjoy hanging out with from time to time. We are fairly clean and tidy, so someone like that would be best. Sorry, the landlord doesn't allow pets or couples. We will also consider short-term sublets. Utilities come to $115/person (wi-fi, cable, central heat, electricity, gas, garbage, water), and are paid with rent. So the total is $1300. Within 1 block are the 14/49 Mission lines, J Church, 24 Divis, and the exotic and mysterious 36 Teresita. 24th St BART is walkable and very bicycle-able.
