Hobby farming/gardening in a custom remodeled home. Close to 205, I-5, 43, just 10mi South of Portland. Stars, wildlife, and quiet nights...
The house is on a quiet, friendly lane. The 2.1 acres are sunny and open, with a gentle south-facing slope. There are fruit trees planted and a 2 stall barn. We welcome produce beds and small animals/livestock. There is a walking/running path just beyond the fence line that connects West Linn and Lake Oswego. There are multiple parks with playgrounds within walking distance.
We have lovingly restored our home using the latest in green products and brand new appliances and fixtures - DCS, Bosch, LG, Delta, Kohler. Efficient insulation and windows keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter, while allowing exceptional natural light throughout the year.
The kitchen is a cook's palace with a 36" gas cooktop and double electric wall ovens. New solid maple cabinets with large soft close drawers and large under-counter shelves that extend fully provide tons of easy to use storage. The living room is full of windows and light, surrounded by greenery and open, pastoral views to the east, south, and west. A new soapstone stove keeps the house cozy all winter, but the gas furnace is also brand new, making for a quick and cheap way to take the chill off after a long day. A Fijian mahogany deck installed in 17 spans the length of the house with steps down to the backyard for easy garden access or dining in the afternoon shade.
The ground level is a fully functional 1BR apartment with it's own bathroom and kitchen and a private entry. Great for extra space to process the harvest or a separate space for guests or as a shared rental.
