The main sleeping/living area is outfitted with a good-sized closet, a comfy full-sized bed and leather armchair. The gas kitchen has all of the modern conveniences (microwave, toaster, etc.) you could need, but retains many period details with high ceilings, curved doorways, a built-in hutch, and an ironing board in the wall cupboard. It also has a dining room table that can be used for both meals and as a work-space. This apartment is a great mixture of modern and SF charm.
This cute apartment is located in a Victorian house one block from the hustle and bustle of the infamous Haight-Ashbury neighborhood and one block from the Panhandle. It is nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street with multiple lines of public transportation also only one block away. The Haight-Ashbury neighborhood is very vibrant and is renown for its role in the Summer of Love movement. The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin all lived in the neighborhood in the 60's. The neighborhood is now home to unique shops, vintage clothing stores, markets and a diverse selection of restaurants and bars/pubs. The neighborhood is also home to numerous gorgeous Victorians - a quintessential part of the San Francisco architecture. Additionally, there is plenty of green space nearby including the Panhandle, Buena Vista Park and Golden Gate Park. Golden Gate Park stretches all the way to the ocean and has many amazing nooks and crannies to explore on the way. Golden Gate Park is home to the Botanical Gardens, Conservatory of Flowers, a carousel, various gardens, a couple of museums, Stowe Lake (with a waterfall and paddle boats), Japanese Tea Garden, windmills, a herd of bison, and much more! You can rent bikes in the neighborhood and explore the park and the rest of San Francisco at your own leisure.
You are walking distance to Cole Valley, Inner Sunset, Inner Richmond, Lower Haight, Alamo Square, NOPA and Hayes Valley. Additionally, there are multiple public transportation lines that will take you to other corners of San Francisco and only 10 minutes to downtown/Financial District.
