The house is a 3-minute walk to a forest park with a loop trail, access to Goat Hill and the trail down to Juanita Beach Park. Walk/bike to Sandburg elementary and Finn Hill Middle schools (with tennis courts), and a few minutes further to Big Finn Hill Park. It is about 8 minutes by car to St Edwards State Park, with its trails down to Lake Washington, and the new high-end St Edwards Lodge and restaurant there. Two choices: This home can be rented in full, or there is an option to have the downstairs area used on a part time basis for five months, by the father of the family which has leased it for the last two years. For several years a charming family from Holland with three K-12 kids has lived in this house. They loved it, but have decided to return home so the kids can experience Dutch schools, etc. However the father, a tech products Designer, will be traveling back and forth to Europe for some 5 months to finish several projects, here and at sites in Oregon and Idaho. He would like to remain in the downstairs area over this period, but will be there only about seven days each month. His separate area would include a bedroom, office, bathroom and a small MIL kitchen. He needs only a small storage area in the substantial two-car attached garage. Such an interim semi house-share arrangement is a bit unusual, but the rent for an incoming party would be $1,100/month lower during the sharing time. Perhaps a new resident(s) might find this possible option to be a tech-wise interesting and workable arrangement, and would like to remain longer term, possibly in an extended family context. For the interim months, the new resident(s) would utilize the upstairs: 3 bedrooms, 1 and 3/4 baths, Kitchen, DR, LR, fenced backyard, almost all the garage, and also the substantial downstairs family room. At present there is only one laundry, based downstairs, which would likely be shared for the interim period. PS. No smoking; pets can be discussed; the family just leaving has a (lovable) 160-pound dog. PPS. Of course applicants will be reviewed for references, rental, criminal and credit (700+) backgrounds. It is expected that gross income will be close to, or greater than 3 times the full lease rate. Twelve-month lease to begin.
