*MINIMUM FOUR MONTH RENTAL The Location Located in Historic Covington, our two-bedroom two full bath home sits on a 1/4 acre lot across from the Covington Welcome Center, just one block from the historic Covington Square, on a quiet residential street. It is very close to the Cricket Frog Trail, .5 miles from Piedmont-Newton Hospital, 1.8 miles from Oxford College, 6.3 miles from the Georgia International Horse Park, 33 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and 113 miles from Augusta National Golf Course. The Covington Square is lively with several fine restaurants and retail shops. The space Our home was originally constructed circa 1910, but underwent a complete, down to the studs, remodeling in 2013 after it was purchased. All of the walls, electricity, plumbing, heating and air, ductwork, and appliances are from 2013 or later. The floors have been refinished. The 1440 sq. ft. single level floor space has a light and airy atmosphere. Numerous windows provide copious natural light. The kitchen, dining room, family room, and breakfast room are all open and connected and look out upon a professionally maintained lawn and front garden. All of the doors in the house are wheelchair friendly and have 36-inch frames (except for the laundry room). There is however, no wheelchair ramp to the house. Our home is finely furnished with oriental carpets and antiques. Original oil paintings adorn the walls. The two master bedrooms have full bathrooms. One of the master bathrooms has a separate antique claw-foot tub. Both beds are antique four-poster double beds. You'll find dishes, silverware, pots, and pans along with a coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, microwave oven, and top-of-the-line stove and refrigerator in a kitchen ready for a serious chef. If you need any additional utensils please ask us, we likely have them available. The back deck off the kitchen/breakfast room is private and great for entertaining. A Mini-Weber grill is on the deck. There are towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom. A hairdryer and iron tucked away in the bathroom as well. There's a television in the living room and another in the bedroom. Wi-Fi is provided, as is antenna television. Other things to note: Off-street parking is available in the driveway. The home is equipped with a monitored alarm system. The home is not suitable for children. This home is not appropriate for parties. The attic is not available to tenants and may be accessed only by the landlord giving reasonable notice for servicing the heat pump/air-conditioning. We reside immediately next door and could be available in an emergency. We use our guest house for friends and family when not rented.
