BRIX is a completely renovated three-story furniture store built in 1866. The beautiful tin ceilings remain intact throughout the lofts and first-floor commercial space, and we have exposed the brick walls on the interior throughout. Square footages vary between 1450sf and 1900sf. All seven one-bedroom, open-floorplan units have new ash hardwood floors, Italian tile bathrooms with double bowl vanities and European fixtures, WoodMode kitchens with iroko hardwood countertops, stainless appliances, gas fireplaces, large flat-screen televisions and in-unit washers and dryers. BRIX is elevator-served, and is a "green" building. Our location is in the heart of the city's newly expanded central business district, one block south of Lycoming College. The Basin Street exit of I-180 (and both Starbucks Coffee and Panara Bread) is less than two blocks away, as is the city's best-known white-tablecloth restaurant, DiSalvo's and the new John R.T. Ryan Brewery. BRIX has been constructed closely following the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED standards. We have focused heavily on materials reuse, use of certified new materials like FSC lumber and green-certified carpet and tile, use of low-emitting paints and adhesives, increasing R-values with insulation and low-E windows, and especially on energy efficiency with lighting controls and ground-sourced heating and cooling (a geothermal system with four wells). Rent includes all utilities, cable and WiFi, on-site dedicated parking, and weekly cleaning service. Units are fully furnished down to silverware, small appliances and linens. We only require one-month leases; however, we give priority to tenants willing to sign one-year or longer leases. There is, frankly, nothing in town that will come close in terms of quality.
