When you are a pet owner, the most important housing search criterion is whether a particular place allows Fido or Kitty to come along. Therefore, HotPads has developed a "pet friendly only" search option.

Now, you can search for pet friendly housing while utilizing all of the same great search features and functions of HotPads. We just narrow your search results to include only housing that accepts pets.

Using the HotPads Map Search

The default pet friendly search is for properties that accept both dogs and cats, but if you have only dogs or cats you can easily change this setting. Click "advanced" in the upper toolbar to be taken to the view of all of your advanced search options. Near the bottom of the page, you can simply check mark the box beside the type of pet you have. Then, only housing that accepts that kind of pet will be shown!

You can begin your search by either typing in the location box or by dragging and zooming the map to your desired location. Yellow listing icons appear representing all of the various pet friendly housing options. The size of the icon corresponds to the size of the pet friendly rentals, from large apartment building icons to smaller single family home icons.

We also provide more helpful useful information like points of interest, demographic heat maps, and area and neighborhood outlines. You can access these by clicking the small icon of the US map located next to the zoom bar.

When you have found a listing that you are interested in, you can easily inquire about its availability and request more information right from the HotPads listing. Use the blue contact box on the right side of the full listing view to send an email directly to the property manager or owner. When one is provided to us, we will also include the contact phone number in this box.
