Georgetown is a historic neighborhood in northwest Washington, DC that is known for it's shopping, nightlife, and dining.

The old row houses, cobblestone streets, and trolley tracks that can be found in Georgetown all lend to the neighborhood's historic charm. Many of these row houses have been transformed into stores, especially on M St and Wisconisin Avenue, the main commercial stretches of Georgetown.

Georgetown is located next to the Potomac River where you can walk, jog, and bike along the C&O Canal's toepath.

Georgetown is also home to Georgetown University, which adds much to the appeal of the neighborhood by providing entertainment, sporting events, and lectures.

There is no Metro station in Georgetown, though there are still public transportation options available to the residents-- aside from buses, taxis are rarely in short supply in Georgetown.
