Harlem Vacation Rental - Beautiful Harlem Townhous

This airy, one bedroom apartment is located on the top floor of a renovated townhouse on 121st Street in Central Harlem. The bedroom which overlooks the garden has three windows,a queen size bed with a pillow top mattress,ample closet space,a comfortable lounge chair, Bose CD Player and bamboo chest. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom. Bed linen, Caswell-Massey toiletries, plush towels and bathrobes are provided during your stay. The living room has a small library, cable TV with premium channels, two sofas, and other seating. There is a dining area with seating for three adjacent to the kitchen pass through. The all stainless steel kitchenette is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal. There is no elevator. The owners live on site. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, ...(show more) residential, historic, eclectic and right in the heart of Harlem. There are grocery stores,banks, dry cleaners, pharmacies and a movie theater nearby. Take advantage of all that Harlem has to offer. That includes, delicious dining, day spas, Central Park, shopping, neighborhood tours, gospel brunches, jazz clubs, museums and friendly folk. There is something for everyone "Staying at Sankofa Guest Apartment was a wonderful experience. The apartment is stunningly beautiful and has every amenity a traveller could possibly need or desire, even a footspa. The whole apartment is incredibly attractive and it is a pleasure to simply sit and admire the artwork on the walls and the furniture and finishings within the apartment. Our hostesses, Edith and Norma are incredibly warm and helpful. We feel as if we have made friends. It has added an extra dimension to our first-time New York experience to be able to stay in Harlem and be welcomed with such kindness. Within the apartment you will find NYC guidebooks and other helpful printed information to help you take advantage of your time in New York. The apartment's location is fantastic. Catching public transport is a breeze. We favoured the bus during the day to give us a better idea of the lay of the land. The subway is quick and efficient and is only a few blocks' walk through this safe neighbourhood. We walked day and night through the neighbourhood and felt perfectly comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable and we enjoyed being able to cook breakfast each morning. Being able to wash and dry our clothes each night also allowed us to pack a little lighter than we would otherwise have been able to do.
