Cape Coral, called 'The Cape' by residents, is a sprawling city in Lee County. Florida. It's located in the Fort Myers metropolitan area and is the largest city between Tampa and Miami. Known as the 'Waterfront Wonderland,' it was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s over a series of waterways and canals. Cape Coral has more canals than any city in the world, with the exception of Venice, Italy.
