Imi Ikena will provide 28 affordable apartment homes for working families in a convient location in Wailuku, close to Kahului Public Library and Maui Community College. The development project meets goals set out by the Wailuku Redevelopment Plan to improve exisitng infrastructure, create construction jobs, and improve the curb appeal of the area.

The community features a picnic area and playground, as well as a number of Green features in each unit including low-VOC paints, ENERGY STAR water heaters, appliances, and light fixtures. 25 of the units will be reserved for residents who earn at or below 50% AMI, with the remaining 2 units set aside for residents who earn at or below 30% AMI. The Area Median Income limits are established by the Housing Division, Department of Housing and Human Concerns (HDDC), County of Maui and are subject to change.
