Seeking tenant willing to serve as operator of short term rental in main house in exchange for $200 off monthly rent, so the rent will be $900. (Details below. Feel free to ask questions.) One year lease. Owner pays for water. Tenant responsible for gas and electric. Small dogs allowed (up to 20 lbs) with $250 deposit. No smoking. One month security deposit due on signing. Move in date flexible but must complete training as described below in June. Duties of operator: 1. Take a 2 hour virtual or in person operator training. Dates for virtual trainings are June 8, June 15, June 22, June 29 at 11 am-1pm. In person trainings will be held in City Council Chambers (June 2, 9, 16 & 30). 2. Be accountable to respond to city enforcement of short term rental regulations which will include: Random spot checks to ensure the listed owner/operator does live on site throughout the year; these may be as frequent as monthly or as little as once a year If a code enforcement officer does arrive to a property for a spot check and the listed owner/operator is not home, they will have one hour to get to the property for the inspection During a reservation the owner/operator should never be more than one hour away from the home If a complaint is received on the property you will have one hour to resolve the complaint If you travel for work or leisure, you may not use an operator from a management company to replace you as a temporary operator; instead you must cancel the reservation if you will be more than 1 hour away from the property during a reservation A STR Operator must be over the age of 18yrs at minimum 3. Communicate with me if there are any issues and if you need to be more than an hour away from the property at any time.
