The home is listed as a Kentucky Landmark series as "The Huddleston House". The house is an excellent example of the early 20th Century Arts and Crafts movement, which resulted from the reaction of architects ...(show more) and designers to "clean up" much of the cluttered, overdone style of the late Victorian period. The Arts and Crafts movement emphasized clean lines and balanced design. The property includes about 3 acres with many mature trees, including maple, magnolia, tulip, pear and peach trees. An early carriage house has been converted to a 2 car garage and there is an original side entrance to the house that is currently used as a car port. Adjacent to the 2 car-garage are several storage areas. A second story over the carriage house/garage was probably living quarters for stable hands or grooms. Another building used as a storage shed includes a stable which opens into an acre lawn. The Huddleston family was known to have bred and showed horses in the mid-20th century.
