We believe finding a new place should be easy. We also think you should have the freedom to take your personalized search on the go, no matter what mobile device you use. That's why we're excited to launch the HotPads iPad App. Many of the same great features you've come to expect from HotPads.com are now on your iPad.
Much like the desktop browser version of HotPads, you don't have to leave the map search to view a listing - the listing appears on one side of the screen without interrupting the search, saving you time and offering a much smoother experience.

Using the HotPads iPad Application

Quickly find available homes nearby. Search by entering a desired address or choose your current location.
Select the type of housing you are looking for: for rent, for sale, or hotels, and set your price range and number of bedrooms.
All available listings that meet your search criteria will be displayed on a map (or in a scrollable list, if you prefer). There are many different ways to sort results, including by number of bedrooms, minimum number of photos, listing updated time, and specific keywords keywords like "garage".
Learning more & Contacting the Property
When you would like to learn more about a listing, just click on it to see the full listing view that includes property photos, pricing info, descriptions, and tons of other useful information about the property. With the iPad app, you can now browse specific listing details while still navigating the map. The dual screen capability makes the search experience smoother and easier.
If you are interested in a listing, you can Add it to Favorites, Email a Friend, Share it on Facebook (will appear on your profile and in news feed), or Contact the Property
Other iPad App Features
Saved Favorites
Come back to your favorites later by marking listings as favorites. You can save listings by clicking the outline of the star by the listing name or by clicking the thumbs up. Your favorites will be denoted by a thumbs up and checkmark next to the listing name in the search results. To see all of your favorites at once, click "My Favorites" on the home screen.
Save Searches
To save a search, enter all of your search criteria and click "save" in the menu bar. Enter a name for your search, and save yourself time in the future by just selecting that saved search instead of inputting all of your info and search criteria again!
