$1000 RENTER BAILOUT SWEEPSTAKES
Official Rules and Regulations
ELIGIBILITY:Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the United States and DC aged 18 or older. Employees and directors of HotPads, Inc. ("Sponsor"), and its affiliates, as well as the immediate family (parents, siblings, children, and spouses) and members of their households, whether related or not, of such individuals are not eligible. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
ENTRY: No purchase necessary to enter and purchases will not help or increase your chance of winning. Sweepstakes begins on March 9, 2009 at 12:01 am EST and ends April 14, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. EST ("Sweepstakes Period"). To enter, access the sweepstakes entry page at http://hotpads.com/freeRentContestForm.htm and submit an official entry form. To enter without using the online form, please hand-print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address (if have one), and age on a 3"x5" piece of paper and mail (with proper postage) to: "HotPads, Inc. Renter's Bailout Sweepstakes", 1054 31st St NW Suite 320, Washington, DC 20007." You will receive 1 entry into the Sweepstakes, limit 1 per envelope, 1 per household. All mail-in entries must be handwritten and postmarked by April 7th, 2009 and received by April 12, 2009 to be considered. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor and Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, illegible, or incorrectly addressed submissions. Entry must be submitted and received by 11:59pm EST on April 14, 2009 to be elligible. All entries become the property of Sponsor.
PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize of a check for $1,000 will be awarded.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Prize open strictly to US residents aged 18 years or older
WINNER SELECTION/NOTIFICATION: Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted by Sponsor on April 15, 2009 from among all timely, eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received between March 09, 2009 and April 14, 2009. The selected individual will be notified by the email address provided and express mail (provided a mailing address has been supplied).
GENERAL CONDITIONS:By participating, entrants agree (a) that they have read and will abide by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and its agents which decisions shall be final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes; (b) to release and indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its parents and affiliated companies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any and all liability or claims resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their participation in the Sweepstakes and the acceptance and use of the prize; and (c) if the winner, to the use of name in advertising or publicity relating to the Sweepstakes and/or the Sponsor in all media, including, but not limited to the posting of the winner's name on http://www.hotpads.com, http://daily.hotpads.com, and http://twitter.com/hotpads and any and all press releases.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, deletion, defect, delay in operation, communications line failure, theft, loss, or unauthorized access to any information submitted. If for any reason the Sweepstakes cannot be fairly run as planned, including cases in which corruption affects the administration of said contest or if fairness, security or integrity of the Sweepstakes is compromised, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes. Notice of such action will be provided at http://hotpads.com and http://daily.hotpads.com.
RULES/WINNERS LIST: The name of the winner will be posted on http://www.hotpads.com/sweepswinner after verification of winning and awarding of the prize. A copy of the Official Rules or name of winner may be obtained by sending a self addressed, stamped envelope to the address below. Requests will not be honored more than three months after the termination of the Sweepstakes.
