Crockett is in the northern reaches of the East Bay between San Pablo Bay and the Bay Ridge Trail, close to all things Bay Area, from the wine country to Berkeley's 4th street. The town is surrounded by East Bay Regional Parks within walking distance- making it a quiet gem for lovers of the outdoors. Next to Interstate 80, there's a Safeway (in Hercules) and a Sprouts, and Trader Joe's close by in Pinole, plus Saturday farmers market in Pinole, Martinez and Vallejo. In town you'll find amazing meals at Lucia's, Crockett Cocina & Bobby Mac's BBQ, great art galleries & 2 pubs (featuring live music!) lots of great little shops, and a fun atmosphere and views at The Dead Fish.
Residents have access to the Crockett pool when it reopens on Memorial Day through Labor Day. Port Costa is a 10 min drive away, Martinez 15 min, Vallejo 7 min. If you don't own a car, you can still commute via casual carpool, WestCat, AC Transit or the Vallejo Ferry via Interstate 80. Crockett sits on the Carquinez Strait directly across from Vallejo and Benicia. Crockett itself is a safe and friendly small town of 3100 folks from many generations.
This immaculate unit sits within a 124-year old maintained Victorian house with a beautiful view of the Strait where you can see the ships trundle to the SF Bay. Pleasant Mediterranean climate away from the fog!
