I have a daughter and need a nice neighborhood that is family oriented. Any suggestions?

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

I have been a Realtor here for over 27 years and the two most requested areas are either Green Valley Ranch and Anthem in Henderson or Summerlin on the west side of Vegas. Both have loads of parks, lots of good shopping, restaurants, schools, etc. Very family friendly and safe. It really just depends on which one "feels" best to you and you can't go wrong either way. My best friend lives in Summerlin and I live in Anthem. :) We have a running argument about which area is better.

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

I am looking for a single level home for rent in the Green Valley Ranch or Anthem in Henderson. approx $800 to $995 per month. 3 or more year lease with move in for 5/1/2012. 3 bed, 2 bath, washer, dryer, stove, refrig, etc.

The only problem is these area's are small and in small pockets all over the valley. The newer Southwest area is good and the newer north side is also good but both areas are far from everywhere, including 10 miles from the strip. I live in the newer north side and like it very much but, the North LV utilities are almost doubled from the rest of Las Vegas. The area just before summerlin is also nice and less expensive. I can tell you to avoid areas such as the east side, close to the strip and Fremont street and just about any area near Martin Luther King St. Also, look out for foreclosed rentals! Hope this helps!

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

Hello,

My name is Kelly...the best place to live in las vegas is without question...SUMMERLIN! It is very very nice, safe, upscale, great private schools. If you can not afford to send your daughter to a private school. There are some really nice public schools as well. My son is now 20 yrs old and we have lived in Summerlin for 14 yrs. Our home is on a golf course, gated and located in a little community. My second choice for you would be green valley aka...Henderson. I hope this was very helpfull to you. Good luck! God Bless!

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

Laurie....In Las Vegas, we have so many beautiful and family oriented areas. Lived there for three years and LOVED it! Friends lived in Mtns Edge, which is West of the Strip and also very safe area. Clean. Mtns Edge has a nice hill to hike, Exploration Peak, and a great park and dog walking area just below the hill. I'll be moving back there once my job is finished here. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

I've lived in north Las Vegas, the AFB Nellis area and Summerland and by UNLV but i really think spring valley is the coldest part of town the west side is colder for sure!

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

I lived all over Vegas while I lived there for 6 years. My favorite was Summerlin (89128) and my least favorite was North Las Vegas by the Air Force base (89191). Depends on where you work. I worked in South Las Vegas and lived in Aliante (way north) and the commute was terrible when they had road construction on the 215 and 15 (about an hour each way) . Haven't lived there in a couple of years, but when I drive down there it doesn't seem like there's much construction on the freeways.

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

Las Vegas traffic is a major factor in deciding where to live. Where are you planning to work. If it is on the strip, I wouldn't be more than 10 miles away, and close to a freeway.

Answer for Which part of Las Vegas is the better place to live?

Hello , I'm Angelica , I'm just move from California , we are renting on Henderson near the green valley, but we want a buy a house ,, I'm looking for opinions I like here on he green valley ,but my husband likes more mountain edge , it's a safe comunity ?????
