Between the roach and pest infestation, my car being robbed, and the CONSTANT SMELL OF DOG PISS (and poo) you will encounter walking around anywhere in the outdoor community areas, you'll inevitably be disgusted with this apartment. Started getting a MASSIVE ROACH AND PEST INFESTATION 2 months ago. Took the apartment a month to act on it, and weeks after spraying with poison I'm still seeing roaches everywhere in my house. If I go into my kitchen anytime when the lights are off my house is converted into a roach motel, and they come out on every surface - from all my kitchen counters, the clean dishes in my rack, inside the dishwasher, on the living room walls, across my desk while I'm writing this -- you name it they've probably touched it. Had my car broken into overnight recently (October 27) while parked in the gated, “secured” parking lot. I had nothing valuable really, but the fact that someone did it in what's supposed to be a secure lot that's supposedly patrolled by security? I don't feel safe anymore. Couldn't get in contact with the leasing office for 24 hours because they were out on company holiday, and when they finally got back, I was told they couldn't do anything and said I should just call the cops next time. There are no cameras in any gated parking lot, they only have cameras in the extra-cost car garages, which they attempted to up-sell my in my time of crisis. They still have not notified the community of the robbery, and never got back to me about it. I noticed other residents in other reviews also reporting a robbery recently. The dog pee is atrocious. I can't walk outside of my apartment in the public areas without seeing every single spot of dirt, grass, sand, or even the volleyball court -- stained with a mark. You can sit in the gym and watch people just walk their dog into the park where kids go to play and touch the floor, and have their dog piss there. It's absolutely disgusting, with how rampant it constantly is, the leasing office should send out more memos and shame people (or maybe install more cameras?????) Some notable roach mentions: - Roaches are sourced from the dishwasher, so I haven't been able to wash dishes in there for 2 months without having roaches crawl all over clean or dirty dishes (or even open it without them crawling out) - Since they're located by the dishwasher, even my clean dishes left out on the counter have had roaches crawling on them, requiring a re-wash. - Had a roach crawl into my birthday dinner that I spent hours cooking and left on the counter for 2 seconds for a roach to invade, ruining the entire meal. - A roach crawled onto my work desk, into my computer monitor, and I had to spend the first hour of my morning unplugging everything and getting it out. - Had to spend a half day off work taking my entire house and covering everything for the fumigation -- that didn't work. - Spent a couple hundred dollars in pest control products myself in an attempt to reduce the effect -- still see roaches on a daily basis. - Just went to go make a snack for myself in the kitchen to find 10+ roaches crawling across the counters, cabinets, and walls. Then sat back at my desk to find 3 more roaches. This is over 3 weeks after having the house fumigated. Other random cons of living here: - Limited parking for guests since residents occupy most of the spaces. - No assigned parking and the lot fills up at night, making spots hard to find (or nonexistent) in some cases. They resurfaced the lots recently claiming it was to assign parking and never did. - The building is dirty. All the hallways, stairways, elevators, everything is filthy. - Water takes forever to heat up. It's an electric heater located in the bathroom, so you'll basically never have hot water in your kitchen sink unless you (I kid you not, they'll recommend this): run your shower hot to get the rest of the house hot water. This also doesn't work well. - The bathroom sink's water pressure is a joke, feels like I waste more water ensuring I got the soap off, and get water all over the counter because of it's poor design. - It gets cold in the lofts. The heater only heats the top part of the house, so you'll bake someone alive in the top floor, and have someone freezing downstairs because the house isn't weather sealed properly. - The wood floors carry a lot of noise even with light walking. If you live anywhere but the top floor, expect stomping. **Update:** Management has finally responded to roach issue by offering to spray again, requiring me to pack up all my belongings and vacate my home (again). Had to take another day off of work to put everything in boxes, cover furniture in plastic, etc — and another day off to put everything back and clean.
