Hello. First may I ask how is your wife's credit score? With lenders exercising extreme caution when it comes to lending funds, a credit score anywhere between 760-785 or higher is best. When you achieve 760-785 or better you are considered to be Credit Elite. Meaning you get lower interest rates saving you hundreds or thousands of dollars over your lifetime. As well as enjoying the financial benefits of lower monthly payments. Your father is also another great line of support because if his credit is in good standing he can hopefully fill in when needed. In the meantime here are some tips to help you start rebuilding your credit: Pay any and all bills on time, never miss a payment no matter what. If have lines of credit use wisely, once you have exceeded 30% of your available credit your score begins to fall. Only open new accounts when you absolutely need to as if mismanaged can have a negative affect on your credit score as well. I hope this helps and if you have any further questions please feel free to reach out to me. Good luck on getting that new home in Georgia and wish you and your wife all the best.
