is it possible to terminate our lease early because we are not safe?

When my fiancee and I moved in to this townhouse we did not know about the neighborhood, we were on a very line timeline so we found this place, nice townhouse great price, what we did not know was the history of the neighborhood. We asked the landlord but said by law he couldnt tell us anything and we couldnt get a blotter report from tpd either. If we are feeling unsafe do we have rights to move and terminate our lease early?

Based on what, Danny. You can't claim the neighborhood as unsafe based on rumor and expect to released from your lease. If you could document a police report that showed an unsafe situation at the unit (suspicious or drug related activity, break-in or theft, damage to your vehicle, etc) you would have a chance. Without a specific event anyone could claim an unsafe neighborhood and be released from a lease.

Sophia he posted that question a year ago so I doubt he will be coming back to check on the answers. I work in real estate here in Tacoma, whats the address of the unit you're skeptical about? I can try to do a little research for you.
