Is it possible to find an apartment to rent in San antonio with 3 evictions on my record?

I am in a fight with current apartments and have to leave because they are now processing an eviction though I have proof of payment. I need a place fast so that I can keep my job of one year. The other two evictions were because I had lost my job.

As an experienced real estate agent that specializes in foreclosure properties I must say I don't believe a word of your story. You are in denial. You must be honest with yourself before you can be trusted by others. How did you have two prior evictions from losing what sounds like only one job loss? If you lost your job and could not make rent payments could you have not worked something out with your landlord to sever the lease voluntarily and save them the cost of evicting you. Regarding you current lease, why not bring in a third party to mediate the dispute or get legal representation if in fact your are meeting the terms of your lease. Perhaps there are other terms of the lease that you are violating. My advise is come to terms with your negative behaviors, salvage your current lease even if this requires a financial penalty that your feel is unfair. Then commit yourself to not being a problem so that you can have a reasonable reference when you are able to move in th future.

How can any of you judge someone before you have the facts. Most of you claim to be experienced real estate agents, and yet you don't seem to know the first thing about being unbiased. You may have had a few bad tenants in your day, but that doesn't give you the right to judge someone based off your bad experience. It's because of people like you so many good people have to suffer. There are all kids of reason why jonathan could have lost his prior jobs. Until you have the facts you should not judge someone, so if you can't contribute positive information to facilitate his situation, then you are way off topic. For those of you judging him, you should be ashamed.

I'm so happy I read this. Everyone has all these bogus ads that they can help you. I got the run around so much. I took a chance and contacted him and this dude really helped me. As a former real estate investor that lost everything, its nice to see that someone cares and is REALLY trying to help you as I did with others. I'll definitely use him as my real estate agent when I build my credit back up and buy my next house!

The fact that you've been evicted would be a huge red flag. I wouldn't take the chance - I've been burned by tenants who are habitually late or stop paying rent and allow me to support them and then pick up the pieces. You think it's okay, too. The job loss isn't why you were evicted, it's that you didn't pay your rent. It's not a landlord's fault or responsibility if you lose a job. Landlords are people who have families to support, too. However, I'm sure there still are plenty out there, who you can take advantage of before they catch on. I can't imagine anyone who would, knowingly, rent to a tenant who doesn't pay. Any agency who specializes in these cases probably are charging someone a large, up front, fee.

Hi Jonathan,

The fact of the matter is that having that many evictions on your record is certainly going to make finding housing a bit more challenging for you.

What you can do, is prove that you have a stable income and savings and that you can afford the home. You can get recommendations from your boss about your nature, and any landlord who can vouch that you are a good tenant.

It is likely that you will still be asked to put more money down up front than other renters. Further, you may need to have someone co-sign on your lease and maybe even co-habitat the rental unit with you in order to guarantee that you will not be evicted due to non-payment.

Often times, private owners or smaller property management companies are more willing to overlook some flaws on your applications. Unfortunately, in some companies, having an eviction on your record is grounds for denial, regardless of the situation at hand.

The good news is that we have tons of rentals in San Antonio: HotPads search: Rental Housing Listings in San Antonio, TX , so hopefully you'll be able to find a great place!

guess what people !yes thier is other reasons people are wrongfully removed from thier apartments everyday in lovely san antonio texas . the manangement compies of most rental properties think they are above the law and when you do somrthing wrong they threaten and intimatade the renter and tell them they have 24 hours to remove themsleves from the property and if they dont leave they will throw real estate locks on your doors preventing you entry to the apartment or access to your belonings no matter to them how illegal that is they figure if you have to rent you cant defend yourself either
call the police and saps automatically takes the side of the apartments to those of you trying to find an apartment or house good luck and god bless
