What areas of Sacramento are the most child friendly, (for example:good schools, safe, pools, etc)? We are relocating from the East Coast. Thanks.
We are only going to be making one trip over to Sacramento before our final move, and I would like to know which areas to focus on for a rental. It is important that the schools are good, and the area is child friendly. thank you.
I am a teacher in the Sacramento City Unified School District and if you are looking for an area based on schools for your family checkout www.greatschools.org You can search by zip code or neighborhood or name of school. I highly recommend Pocket/Greenhaven/Land Park which are the zip codes 95831, 95819, 95822 and the elementary schools Genevieve Didion, Sutterville, or Matsuyama. They are older, but very established. Good Lock!
Can someone tell me how is 95823 area for schools ? Is this area safe and how are the rentals in this area? Is this a good place to buy a single familyhome?
San Juan School District and Roseville School Districts are the best funded with the most parent involvement. Check www.sanjuan.edu for the boundaries. Online resources that show parent involvement help a lot. One of the bestproperty managers is Tiner Properites, www.tiner.com
Carmichael and Fair Oaks are very child friendly. There are lots of parks, good schools and good people. Mission Avenue Open School and Deterding are both great schools in those areas. Right on the river as well for those hot days in the summer.
I THINK THAT THE POCKET/S.LAND PARK AREA IS GREAT FOR KIDS GREAT FOR ADULTS TOO. DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH GANGS GRAFFITI ANY OF THAT STUFF. IF YOU NEED A PLACE IN THAT AREA HIT UP TKA RENTAL PROPERTIES @ 916-422-3531 THEY HAVE BEAUTIFUL TOWNHOUSES FOR RENT RIGHT NOW. GOOD LUCK!!
I live at The Cottages apartments in Orangevale and there are severalschools around here that are great. Also I'm right next to Folsom and it is a beautiful area next to the American River. Cottages are beautiful, they have a pool, spa, gym and are fairly priced.
Arden is a great area. Just on Howe Ave you have a beautiful huge family and pet friendly park, an elementary school, grocery stores, and restaurants. In the same area you have the Arden Fair Mall. Most apartments have pools but there is also a public pool/recreation center on Cottage way. The pocket area is also good, but its on the South end of Sacramento. Some miles from there is an area with dangerous high schools....
Roseville and Rocklin have one of the bestschools in town. But the Pocket-Greenhaven area is very residential and nice area to live in that's were I live. If you need additional information and are looking to buy you can go to my website NancyFuguet.net and search. Good luck in your home search.
