That answer would be yes, It usually states a 3 day notice to Quit, which if you read the notice this means you have 3 days to get the rent paid up, or legal action can be taken to have you evicted. Normally I have the rent due on the 1st by the 3rd a late fee is charged and then the 5th normally give a 3 day notice,and if the payment is not arranged to be made then legal action can be started for eviction.
