Hi I can't tell when you posted this so it might be old but I'm a Realtor and my very best advice is to get a 3rd party to help you. DO NOT pay a penny for this help because that would be a scam. Look up HUD counselors in your local area. This is a completely FREE service. They will sit down with you, and when i went, they called my mortgage company right then. They got someone and got the ball rolling and anytime I needed it, they were there with help. The fee is $20 (at least in Oregon) and that's for the credit report they run. Try that... they are TRULY there to help if they can. I hope you're able to keep your house. let me know if you have any other questions and I might be able to help. I had an FHA and was helped. IF you have an FHA you might be able to do what I did: an FHA partial claim where they paid my back balance. They added it on to the loan, so you need to look at whether its worth it, but the HUD counselor should be able to help with all of that. Best of luck.

Marge is right on it! Here's the website so you can choose where you want to go:
http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUDsrc=/i_want_to/talk_to_a_housing_counselor
HUD is a government service support by all our tax dollars so they will give you good information and referrals if needed. Patience is the name of the game, so take a deep breath and stay as calm as a woman in your shoes possibly could. Hang in there and check back with status dates.
Good luck,
