Can I buy a house when I just started a new job? I am moving in a few months. I will have to get a new job in my new location.

Moving in a few months, will get new job in new location. Looking to buy a home, have good credit, but do not have a mortgage. This would be my first home.

Rules are changing almost daily so the best answer that can be provided today is "it depends". It depends not only on your income, debts and credit rating. It also depends on the lender you choose. And then, it even depends on the type of loan program you go with.

Typically, if you are staying in the same line of work and have a two year history in that line of work, it is ok, but you might have to actually provide your very first paycheck prior to closing the next home.

Feel free to contact me directly and I will take some note on your situation and ask the questions behind the scenes to lenders/Realtors in your area. There is no cost to have me help do this for you.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I might get paid a referral out of the selling agents commission (but no cost to you) since I will have already done a lot of the ground work for that Realtor if I can help you find the right program.
