ave been great clean tenants. We never miss a payment and we've never been late on any payments. We take care of the unit as if it was our own. A couple days ago my landlord gave me a notice of non renewal of lease, because he sold the unit. so when i called him he changed his story, he states his sister has no where to go and we have to be out by 2/28 so his sister can move in. I asked him why he didnt let me know before hand because I have 2 little children in school and I had just had a baby in October. I explained to him how difficult it would be for me to move out in the coldest time of the year feb. and with 3 little children especially a new born. on top of that I would have to change schools if I cannot find an apt in the area. I explained to him how this move in the winter will be very difficult b/c of the children and school and its not very easy to find an apt this time of year thats affordable and who will except us. A couple years ago my husband and I lost our business and our credit went down, we had to file bankruptcy so we can start on our feet again. Once we found a home and started to get back on our feet again all of this happens. What can I do in this situation? Do I have to be out by 2/28? How can I get some people to accept us with not so great credit?
