How can I rent with two evictions when no one wants to take me?

I have two evictions that are recent one from October of this year and the other from November of 2009. I have been searching so hard to find a place for me and my son. Everywhere I got they either say no or they have high rates because of my credit. I know we all are in hard times right now but I am desperate to find a place. Please help!

Find a private property owner, or talk to an Apartment Finder or Housing Agent. Explain your issue to them, but also be prepared to put down a large deposit if necessary. Understand, that your credit REALLY doesn't matter in most cases, owners just want to know that they will be paid you won't be late on your rent.

As for fixing your credit, I'd start with the two evictions first. Once they are both paid off you may want to contact the property owner and /or the courts to see if the judgement can either be overturned, erased, or expunged.

Then work on your large debts first (anything over $500) and knock them out one by one.
