It is October but I don't need to move in until June. Is it too early to start looking at homes to rent?

I am living in an apartment but am getting married and want to rent a house. I can't move in until June next year. Am I looking too early?

Hi Jessica,

It's never too early to get an idea for where you want to live ie what neighborhood, or even streets you are interested in. However, because most landlords only require 30-60 days notice, it will be very hard for you to determine exactly which homes will be available to you.

You can use this time to research the rent ranges in various areas and really get to know where you want to live, and what you are looking for in your next home.

Good luck!
