Great credit now but bad credit in past. Can I still rent a house?

We want to rent a house below $1000.00 a month. It needs at least 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and garage. Would like a little shop.We have excellent rental history but have had bad credit in the past. What are our chances. Both me and my husband work. No pets, no children living at home.Together we bring home 4,000.00 a month. Is there anywhere where I can get a listing of houses available?

Hi Janie,

As long as you are able to show that you have good credit now and make enough money to pay the rent, you should be ok.

Here's a link to our housing search in Sacramento under $1000 a month with a garage:

HotPads search: Rental Housing Listings in Sacramento, CA for at most $1,000

and here's a link with just single family homes and townhouses:
HotPads search: Rental Housing Listings in Sacramento, CA for at most $1,000

Hope this helps!
