what are the laws for multi house water bills? the landlord just devides up the bill among the 4 rental properties and gives me a random bill. No details or meter readings for my house. Help!

i've asked him verbally and in written form for details of the bill,he says he'll get it to me but then enver does. Yet he expects the money. He also waits 9 months or so to give me the bill and then wants a large lump some of $900 or more. I can't get a hold of anyone at the tenet union for Seattle and I utility company said they couldn't tell me anything.

I would think you would be able to get a copy of the water bill details... Does it specify how utilities will work in your lease?

No, it doesn't. He doesn't give the copies of the bill details because I think he just guesses what each place is using and divides it that way!

If you are being charged $900 for 9 months of water usage you are being robbed blind. $100/month for water utility? That is outrageous - demand that the bill be broken up according to unit numbers (Ex. 1234-A Smith Ln., 1234-B Smith Ln., etc.). Anything else is unfair to the tenants.
