I live in Vernon, CT in an apartment home called Hillside Terrace. I moved here last summer into a one bedroom unit. I have a 90 pound Lab that is more than welcome here. There are no breed restrictions here. You can also have two dogs and two cats if you want - lots of people have a few of each! It's a quiet community, and the management is really friendly. I'm a college student, and I really like the environment here. There's onsite laundry, as well as a small (and I mean small) fitness center, but there's one for each building. The great part is the bedroom is HUGE. We have our living room all decked out with entertainment, but we also put an entertainment center in our bedroom too - You could fit a king sized bed, a loveseat, and a TV, as well as a dresser. There's plenty of closet space too. Definitely check it out. They also mentioned having a studio for rent that's a little less expensive then a one bedroom with all utilities included. We're pretty close with the handymen here - they love our dog!
