It all depends on the circumstances. In most cases its a public record filing. If you can find a house or town house that does a background check instead of a credit check you can more than likely get in also if you find a condo or townhouse with a private owner that is the easiest way. most apartments are owned by very large companies that can afford to have vacant apartments so they do not have any leeway to the credit rule. Also from state to state there are different laws regarding leans and judgments but they can be removed from your credit you just need to find out how. They do not pull public records only your credit which states everything. But if you are persistent with the credit agency's they will remove it. The way that works is that if you have them investigate the judgement from the company that stated it and that company does not reply within a certain amount of time they remove it from your credit you can do it with everything on your credit history. Hope this helps I speak from experience have a good one.
