I will need a home in Springfield, Oregon starting in mid January 2013... Any suggestions??

My wife of 25 years and I will be moving to Springfield, Oregon and will need a minimum 2+ bdrm/1+ bath house/duplex/??? with an enclosed garage starting around January 10th, 2013 so that I can go back to school after being permanently injured in combat in Iraq. A fireplace and small yard would also be a major plus. Hoping to get at $650-$800 per month depending on size, niceness, and quality. getting a Rent-to-Own or FSBO may also be an option for us.
