I have horrible credit and a troubled background from 14 years ago. I have, however, been fully redeemed and I am a responsible, hard-working, and gainfully employed contributing member of society...

now. I am having difficulty finding someone willing to give me a chance as it pertains to renting a townhome. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

If you have horrible credit from 14 years ago, call up those creditors, and work out a payment plan to pay off those debts. If you have a lot of pass due judegments and collections that you has not paid on since those 14 years, why would a landlord trust you in paying the rent? FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IS THE KEY HERE!! Not paying your bills, is the same thing as stealing form the creditor.
