Can I get out of my lease in florida cause a sex offender that served 30 yrs for raping 2 children moved next door and I have 2 small children?

I have a 9 yr old and 6 yr old both boys and a sex offender moved in next door and he served 30 yrs for raping and beating 2 boys,the states site claims he likes small boys between 6 & 12 I don't wnat to live next to him can I break my lease and move?

I agree- get out of there even if it means that you have to break hyour lease. When all is said and done, it's worth the money lost to have the piece of mind that your children are safe

woah I would think so, I know that if that were me I'd break the lease even if I lost some money in the process. I understnad people can be reformed, but that's just too much for me.

I think it's your responsibility for sure to do a check before you sign the lease, but if someone moves in after you have already lived there for a while,,, I don't know. I;d talk to the landlady and I'm sure if she had kids she would understand your position
