What is your favorite neighborhood in Washington, DC? Recommendations for a late 20 year old transplant from Colorado

I recently moved here from Aurora, CO and have been subletting a place in Foggy Bottom. Where should I look to rent long-term?

A little about me:
- Mid/Late 20s
- Social, but not "college social" any more
- Looking for restaurants, bars, shopping, movie theaters, etc.
- I reverse commute to Gaithersburg, so traffic isn't a huge concern, but it would be nice to be near Connecticut, Mass, Wisconsin, or have easy access to any other major thoroughfare

Hey Ben,

There are the obvious answers of Foggy Bottom, Dupont, Adams Morgan, U Street, Cleveland Park, etc.

It would be helpful to konw a little more about what you are looking for.
- rent range
- do you want a townhouse or a single family house?
- do you want to stay on a particular metro line?
- Would you consider Arlington or is that off the table?

Hi, I'm actually taking a pretty hard look at the Cleveland Park/Woodley Park area. I like the townhouse set up and there's still plenty of restaurants and bars. Also close to Adams Morgan adn Dupont. I think I would prefer to stay on the Red line, just becasue it's easier.
