Does anyone have 2-3 bedroom house for rent in Jacksonville, FL for a Navy veteran with the finances but not the credit?

I recently lost my father due to cancer, and now have the financial means to rent a better place, but do not have the credit. Seeking a 2-3 bedroom house on the Southside/Arlington/Beaches Area. Must be small pet friendly. I have been at the same address since August 2008. However, in the past 6 months, the neighborhood has drastically gone downhill. I would like to be in a neighborhood where I feel safe again. If anyone is out there who can help me with this dilema, please contact me a.s.a.p.
