We are a married, no children, professional couple in late 30s moving for a job a CPMC on Clay. Which neighborhoods should I focus on?

I prefer to live less than 15 min drive to CPMC. We have a car, desire a relatively safe neighborhood/building, upper-end properties while avoiding the riff raff at night. The two important things for me is to feel safe in the area (not a place where walking a block away changes from safe to unsafe), and a feel of being in a "nice" neighborhood. I love the ocean, are the neighbors along the Pacific something I should consider?
