I feel for you as they are prob getting a bum rap due to the breed restrictions on most places, we have 3 dogs and are having a terrible time finding a home and ours are not a breed restricted type, just size (100lbs+)restricts us finding a place, anyhow, good luck on the house hunt!!,,God Bless,,

The Pitbulls are a big problem with legitimate landlords. Landlords have what's called a landlord insurance policy on their rentals. Just like a homeowner's policy that covers fire and trees falling on the house. Insurance companies consider Pitbulls high risk and will void the landlord's policy if a pitbull resides or even visits the rental home. A landlord willing to take in pitbulls probably doesn't have insurance on the property. So if something bad does happen (fire, roof damage, someone trips on the front steps while you live there and sues you, flood, plumbing bursts, etc) don't expect the landlord to have the money to take care of it.
