Where can 2 young female professionals find a decent 2 BR apartment (in a 15 mile radius of Boston) without having to pay over $3000 in move-in-fees?

My roommate and I have been searching for a while and, regardless of the price of the apartment, still have only found places with a $3000 move-in requirement. Yes, we can afford rent. No, we can't afford nearly 3 months rent (with fees/security deposits) all at once. How would we even go about searching for a place with a reasonable move-in requirement?
