In fact, I am going to translate that solution (b/c it actually does work):
1 - From the main Hotpads.com screen, click on any saved search
2 - On the upper right hand side of the screen there is a drop down menu titled "your searches"
3 - Select "save a new search" from that drop down, then click save, and just cancel (little blue x) that
4 - Now go back to the same drop down menu and select the search you want to delete. Notice how that little blue button to the right changed from "save" to "edit"?
5 - Click that little blue "edit" button
6 - In the section that pops out, at the top left, there is both an "edit" and "delete" button

Whoever designed the GUI for this site should be banned from the web design industry.

I had the same prob! but i got it, 1)main screen left hand column My Searches click the one u want to delete,then click advance then click "your searches" and the one u want to delete again, it should expand into another screen. Under "Less" the (name u want to delete) and to the right of thats(edit) and (delete) : )
