Anyone know of a pit bull freindly renter?

I have a pit bull and its making it difficult to find a place. She is very well behaved and afraid of her own shadow but the breed is stero-typed. Would like something with a fenced back yard and as mentioned close to the east orlando area. $400-$800 for rent and anything with 1 or more rooms and bathrooms. 2/2 would be pleanty. Thanks for the help!

Hi Brittney,

Here's a link to our pet friendly housing search in Orlando in your price range:
HotPads search: Rental Housing Listings in Orlando, FL for at most $800

You can further narrow your search by entering more specifics about what you are looking for. Just click "advanced" and you can narrow it down by property type (single family homes only, apartment complex ok, etc).

You are right in that pit bulls are often on property manager's breed restrictions list. However, I'm sure you will be able to find a place if you inquire at enough places. It might be good to introduce the dog to potential property managers as well, though if it is on their breed restriction list, that might not make a difference

Good luck!

You might have troubles- I had a german shepherd which is also on all of the "no-no" lists of breeds and it was so hard finding a place that allowed her! You just need to ask at a bunch of places, many more than someone would without a dog. I'm sure shes' great, but the landlords insurance companys probably don't see it that way!!

Did you ever find a place? I have a pit and a pit-lab mix and I fear I am going to have the same problem.
