You look for an apartment, find one in your price range and ask if they accept applicants with no credit. You can either room with someone, there's lots of rooms for rent in Salt Lake, see them all the time. People who are renting out rooms usually don't care about credit but may have a problem with you being a minor. It will also be very hard for you to get an actual apartment yourself because you are a minor, unless you are emancipated and have documentation to prove it. A lot of people, whether apartment complex owners/managers or room leasers, will see you as a child. No one wants to take in someone who is young, might likely be irresponsible, might not hold a job or get paid enough, etc. It's a tough world, but I'd either try friends or finding places that wants roommates. Finding an apartment at an apartment complex was tough for me because I didn't have any credit and I was 19 at the time. Most complexes wanted my parents to cosign and had income restrictions (2x or 3x the amount fo rent has to be made).
