I lived all my life in NYC grew up in brooklyn and lived in manhattan and westchester country for about 4 years also your not going to like this but depends where in the bronx you need to be but the south bronx is a major NO NO!!! If you need to be safer and near highways and subways and trains if i were you i would pick Yonkers right next door to the bronx and 1/100th of the crime and the cost factor is about the same only thing Yonkers has a additional yonkers tax because its in a different county( westchester)
