The kitchen has stainless appliances. The floor is hardwood walnut and the counters are a granite called Crema Marafil which is a cream gorgeous color with hairs of golds and browns. The back splash is done in in multicolored Raku 2x4" fired tiles. Raku is an ancient way of quickly firing and then glazing tiles to give them a three dimensional look. It is usually done over fire instead of with electricity. You will see that each tile is unique. They are expensive but worth every penny in their one of a kind look. There is an open concept style living room with a sun porch on the Northern end of the house. From here the views are without a doubt breathtaking. You are in the clouds (and sometimes you really are). There is a powder room on this floor for your convenience and for your guests. Inside this small space is a wall of nothing but 2x2 glass pillow topped tiles. A total of 820 just on this wall. The other walls are tiles too with a stripe of these wonderful squares of glass but nothing rivals this wall. It is quiet elegance in that you have to be all the way in the room to even see it. We have used heavy drapes through the downstairs for your privacy when needed. Upstairs is the master suite. The bathroom has the red Raku tile theme as well with the floor tiles being in a crossing stripe of concave and then convex tiles. There is a stripe in the shower and one down the wall as well. Everything about this unit is of one of a kind. In the hall between the bath and the bedroom there are 2 walk in closets. One is additionally fitted with shelving floor to ceiling with the other only hanging room. They will hold quite a wardrobe. The bedroom has the best views of the whole house. Nothing can rival these. You can see from the bar of the Columbia river to miles upriver and everything in between including the glamorous Astoria Bridge which is right out your door. A better view than any of the Astoria hotels. The room is spacious with plenty of room for your bedroom set and maybe a chair or two in front of these windows.
